Sunday Coffee with Me is a biweekly post series. This is what I would tell you if we met for coffee and you asked me: "How are you doing, Andi?"
Some business thing
Things are getting more exciting in my business lately, and I wanted to share my journey with you all.
After six months of thinking, planning, and yes, overthinking, I finally took the plunge and launched my business in English this past April. I had a vision, but I wasn’t entirely sure what it looked like or how to bring it to life.
To gain some clarity, I dove right in: I built my website, started this Substack, posted on LinkedIn, and even crafted my first offer. But, to my dismay, all I heard was... crickets.
Looking back, it makes sense.
I wasn’t quite ready for new clients, but I was ready to start. And that was the most important step.
Now, two months later, I can see how everything is beginning to fall into place. The bricks of my business are starting to fit together.
I’ve discovered my core values, my unique story, and my strengths. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to communicate them effectively. People are starting to associate me with certain topics and recognize me as an expert in my field.
I’m practicing what I preach: building my personal brand.
So, my dear bilingual friends, please start today! Don’t wait for the perfect time when your English is flawless, or until you have enough time, confidence, money, and skills. That perfect moment will never come until you take action.
And one more thing: This week, I got my first paid subscriber! I’m absolutely amazed and thrilled. I've started creating paid content—a personal branding mini course—which I know will be incredibly helpful. Honestly, these bite-sized writings bring so much clarity about how to build a personal brand from the inside out.
Some personal thing
Here in Hungary, the summer holiday has started in schools, so my son is at home. He’ll be going to a school camp for a few days, but otherwise, I’ve had to change my working routine.
If you’re a parent, you know what that means.
Waking up early in the mornings, working until he’s asleep, replying to emails in a rush, making phone calls while standing in a playground, scrambling to figure out what to feed him, sneaking in some quick work while he naps in the afternoon, and drinking yet another coffee in the evening to get through the work at night. Lovely :)
Okay, maybe it's not that dramatic because I love being with him, spending the hot days in a park, eating ice cream, going to a public pool, and so on.
1 reading for today
